2nd Street Bakeshop & Coffee Co. is a full service bakery and coffee shop in historic Hico, Texas. Here you’ll find 100% scratch made, small batch baked goods crafted by hand in our kitchen. We keep our cases full of both sweet and savory treats to satisfy your cravings any time of day. We also offer a wide selection of hot and cold drinks including lattes, espresso, frappes, tea and more.

OUR STORY
2nd Street was originally opened in May of 2017 as 2nd Street Provisions, a restaurant, butcher shop, and coffee shop. It was a place to get great coffee and food made with only the freshest ingredients. 2nd Street Provisions closed at the end of 2019 to make way for 2nd Street Bakeshop and Coffee Co. We still serve great coffee and food, but now our focus is centered on being a full service bakery and coffeeshop.

The upstairs at 2nd Street is now a beautifully renovated guest suite, available for short term rental. The suite includes a full 4 piece bathroom, a sitting room with a daybed that converts to a king, and a bedroom with a queen sized-bed. Hi! I’m Haley. I’m a foodie, farmer, globetrotter, wife, and mom who never has enough hours in the day! The creation and evolution of 2nd Street has been a whirlwind of passions colliding with each other to create a place where my heart loves to be. If I had to sum up my personal philosophy, it would be this: Love yourself, love your neighbors, love your craft, and be kind always – and do all of this with gratitude.
